About True Vine Christian Counseling

Warm, Thoughtful Counseling for Teen Girls and Women in Ohio

Why True Vine Christian Counseling Exists

True Vine Christian Counseling was created as a place where adolescent girls and women could feel seen, heard, and supported in every part of their story. Life can be full of pressure, comparison, and quiet worries that few people ever see. My heart is to offer a safe, grounded space where you can slow down, explore what you are feeling, and learn new ways of responding that reflect your values and your faith.

Hi, I’m Rachel!

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Worthington, Ohio. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and women who are walking through anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more. In our sessions, I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you make sense of how your thoughts, emotions, and experiences connect.

My style is warm, collaborative, and honest. I will validate your pain and also gently challenge the patterns that are keeping you stuck, always with respect and care.

Life Outside the Office

My Approach in the Therapy Room

In our work together, we will:

  • Explore what you are experiencing without shame or judgment

  • Identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behavior

  • Learn practical tools you can practice between sessions

  • Connect your faith and values to the choices you are making

  • Move at a pace that feels safe for your nervous system

I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, strength-based perspectives, and solution-focused techniques, as well as Christian counseling for clients who desire faith to be part of the process.

Outside of sessions, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, staying active, and appreciating the beauty of God’s creation. I love good food, whether that is cooking healthy meals at home or trying new restaurants with friends and family. Evenings with my two cats and meaningful conversations with loved ones are some of my favorite moments. My relationship with God is central to my life, and staying connected with my church community and personal spiritual growth is very important to me.
